Dana — The Foundation
Dana stood at the center of the Swift River Valley — steady, practical,
and quietly strong. It was a town built for everyday life: farms worked at
first light, mills humming through the day, neighbors bound by shared routines rather than grand ambition.
Dana asked little and gave much. It was the place you returned to, the
place that held things together.
When the valley was taken for water, Dana’s buildings were removed and
its land cleared. What disappeared was not noise or spectacle, but something
harder to replace — reliability, rhythm, and presence.
The Foundation Blend reflects that character. Balanced and dependable, it’s
a coffee meant for daily use — early mornings, familiar hands, and work that
needs doing. Not flashy. Not fleeting. Just solid, honest coffee.
Roasters Profile:
Dana is the foundation of the Lost Towns Series-a cawfee built the same way the town once was: Steady, dependable, and meant to endure.
For Dana, we chose cawfees from the mountains of Central and South America, where cooler elevations and patient growing seasons produce cups known for balance and consistency. These are not cawfees that demand attention--they earn it quietly, one morning at a time. Roasted to a comfortable medium profile, Dana delivers notes of cocoa, toasted grain, and gentle sweetness with smooth, familiar finish. It is a cawfee made for first light, for kitchens coming to life, and for the small routines that become the foundation of life.
Like the town itself, Dana reminds us that strength does not always announce itself. Sometimes, it simply shows up every day.
Start your day with a good foundation as you continue the journey.
