Quabbin Stillwater — The Valley Blend
When the towns were gone and the rail line fell silent, the valley did not vanish — it changed.
Water rose slowly over fields, roads, and foundations, settling into a quiet that felt permanent. What had once moved with work and industry now rested beneath a still surface and open sky.
There was no rebuilding here. Only calm.
Stillwater reflects that transformation not as loss, but as presence. A steady, unhurried expression of the valley as it became quiet, grounded, and whole in its new form.
This is where the valley comes to rest.
Roaster’s Profile:
Stillwater is the calmest expression in the Lost Towns Series.
Stillwater is what remained.
When the fields disappeared and the tracks fell silent, the valley
changed. What was once movement became stillness.
To honor that transformation, we chose water-decaffeinated Colombian
coffees grown high in the Andes—coffees known for their sweetness, body, and
ability to retain their character even after the caffeine is removed. There is
something fitting about that.
The process changes the coffee, but not its identity.
Roasted to a balanced medium profile, Stillwater offers notes of soft
cocoa, maple sweetness, and roasted nuts with a mellow finish that invites you
to slow down.
It was crafted for quiet evenings, slower mornings, and conversations
that linger long after the cups have emptied.
Because sometimes what remains becomes just as important as what was
lost.
Like the waters of Quabbin itself, Stillwater invites you to slow down,
settle in, and remember the places that stay with us.
Slow the pace as you continue the journey.
